Paepalanthus itatiaiensis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Eriocaulaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma pegunungan tropis di wilayah Brazil (Serra da Mantiqueira). Nama ilmiah Paepalanthus itatiaiensis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Wilhelm Otto Eugen Ruhland pada tahun 1903.
