Paepalanthus mexiae adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Eriocaulaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil (Minas Gerais). Nama ilmiah Paepalanthus mexiae pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Harold Norman Moldenke pada tahun 1959.
