Paepalanthus polytrichoides merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Eriocaulaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kolombia hingga Suriname dan Brazil. Nama ilmiah Paepalanthus polytrichoides diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Sigismund Kunth pada tahun 1841.
