Paepalanthus scirpeus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Eriocaulaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Brazil (Bahia hingga São Paulo). Nama ilmiah Paepalanthus scirpeus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius pada tahun 1863.
