Paepalanthus trichopetalus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Eriocaulaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil (Minas Gerais tengah). Nama ilmiah Paepalanthus trichopetalus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Friedrich August Körnicke pada tahun 1863.
