Palafoxia callosa merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Missouri hingga Arkansas dan Meksiko (Coahuila). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan small palafox. Nama ilmiah Palafoxia callosa diperkenalkan oleh Thomas Nuttall pada tahun 1842.
