Palaquium brassii merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Sapotaceae (suku sawo-sawoan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Papua New Guinea. Nama ilmiah Palaquium brassii diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Herman Johannes Lam pada tahun 1960.
