Palisota lagopus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Commelinaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di kawasan tropis Afrika bagian barat-tengah. Nama ilmiah Palisota lagopus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Johannes Mildbraed pada tahun 1925.
