Panicum acrotrichum merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Bioko, Kamerun, Tanzania utara. Nama ilmiah Panicum acrotrichum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Joseph Dalton Hooker pada tahun 1864.
