Panicum beecheyi merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Kepulauan Hawaii. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan rock panicgrass. Nama ilmiah Panicum beecheyi diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama William Jackson Hooker pada tahun 1832.
