Panicum fischeri merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah India barat daya. Nama ilmiah Panicum fischeri diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Norman Loftus Bor pada tahun 1956.
