Panicum ghiesbreghtii adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Texas selatan, Ekuador, Karibia, hingga Venezuela. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan ghiesbreght's panicgrass. Nama ilmiah Panicum ghiesbreghtii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Eugène Pierre Nicolas Fournier pada tahun 1886.
