Panicum obseptum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Queensland hingga Victoria. Nama ilmiah Panicum obseptum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Bernhard von Trinius pada tahun 1826.
