Panicum parcum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko hingga Amerika tengah. Nama ilmiah Panicum parcum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Albert Spear Hitchcock pada tahun 1910.
