Panicum rigidum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Socotra. Nama ilmiah Panicum rigidum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Isaac Bayley Balfour pada tahun 1883.
