Panicum stapfianum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Angola, Afrika Selatan, hingga Pakistan. Nama ilmiah Panicum stapfianum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Henry Georges Fourcade pada tahun 1932.
