Papaver rhoeas adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Papaveraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Macaronesia, Eropa hingga Mediterania dan Himalaya barat. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan corn poppy. Nama ilmiah Papaver rhoeas diperkenalkan oleh Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1753.
