Parathesis obtusa merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Primulaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko (Michoacán, Guerrero). Nama ilmiah Parathesis obtusa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Cyrus Longworth Lundell pada tahun 1963.
