Paratrophis insignis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Moraceae (suku ara-araan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko (Chiapas) hingga Venezuela barat laut dan Argentina barat laut. Nama ilmiah Paratrophis insignis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Louis Édouard Bureau pada tahun 2021.
