Paspalum ammodes adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis Amerika selatan. Nama ilmiah Paspalum ammodes diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Bernhard von Trinius pada tahun 1826.
