Paspalum crassum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko tenggara, Honduras, Peru, hingga Brazil timur laut. Nama ilmiah Paspalum crassum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Mary Agnes Chase pada tahun 1913.
