Paspalum curassavicum merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Aruba hingga Belanda Antilles. Nama ilmiah Paspalum curassavicum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Mary Agnes Chase pada tahun 1943.
