Paspalum geminiflorum merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis Amerika selatan. Nama ilmiah Paspalum geminiflorum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Ernst Gottlieb von Steudel pada tahun 1853.
