Paspalum saugetii merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Karibia. Nama ilmiah Paspalum saugetii diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Mary Agnes Chase pada tahun 1929.
