Paspalum setosum merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Venezuela (Amazonas). Nama ilmiah Paspalum setosum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Jason Richard Swallen pada tahun 2005.
