Paspalum tenellum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko hingga Guatemala, Kolombia hingga Ekuador, Trinidad, Brazil timur laut. Nama ilmiah Paspalum tenellum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Ludwig von Willdenow pada tahun 1809.
