Paspalum urvillei adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Bolivia hingga Brazil dan Amerika Selatan bagian selatan. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan vasey's grass. Nama ilmiah Paspalum urvillei pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Ernst Gottlieb von Steudel pada tahun 1853.
