Pavetta obovalis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Sulawesi barat daya. Nama ilmiah Pavetta obovalis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Cornelis Eliza Bertus Bremekamp pada tahun 1934.
