Pavonia oxyphylla merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Malvaceae (suku kapas-kapasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko tengah dan barat daya. Nama ilmiah Pavonia oxyphylla diperkenalkan oleh José Mariano Mociño pada tahun 1977.
