Pectis cylindrica merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Arizona hingga Texas dan Meksiko. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan sonoran chinchweed. Nama ilmiah Pectis cylindrica pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Per Axel Rydberg pada tahun 1916.
