Pectis propetes merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Meksiko timur laut dan barat daya. Nama ilmiah Pectis propetes pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Jesse More Greenman pada tahun 1904.
