Penaea speciosa merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Penaeaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat daya. Nama ilmiah Penaea speciosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Otto Wilhelm Sonder pada tahun 2018.
