Penstemon clutei merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Plantaginaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Arizona (Coconino County selatan-tengah). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan sunset crater beardtongue. Nama ilmiah Penstemon clutei pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Aven Nelson pada tahun 1927.
