Penstemon laxus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Plantaginaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Idaho selatan-tengah. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan tufted penstemon. Nama ilmiah Penstemon laxus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Aven Nelson pada tahun 1912.
