Penstemon montanus var. idahoensis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Plantaginaceae yang tumbuh dalam bentuk perdu kecil atau semak. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim dingin (subalpin atau subarktik) di wilayah Idaho. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan central idaho penstemon. Nama ilmiah Penstemon montanus var. idahoensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis David D. Keck pada tahun 1959.
