Penstemon mucronatus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Plantaginaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Wyoming hingga Utah. Nama ilmiah Penstemon mucronatus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Noel Herman Holmgren pada tahun 1979.
