Penstemon retrorsus merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Plantaginaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Colorado. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan adobe hills beardtongue. Nama ilmiah Penstemon retrorsus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Edwin Blake Payson pada tahun 1920.
