SHOWY PENSTEMON Penstemonspectabilis Thurb. ex A.Gray
Penstemon spectabilis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Plantaginaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari California selatan hingga Meksiko (Baja California Norte). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan showy penstemon. Nama ilmiah Penstemon spectabilis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Thurber pada tahun 1857.
