Pentachaeta aurea adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang California hingga Meksiko (Baja California Norte). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan golden chaetopappa. Nama ilmiah Pentachaeta aurea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Thomas Nuttall pada tahun 1840.
