Pentadesma butyracea adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Clusiaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di kawasan tropis Afrika barat dan barat-tengah. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan butter tree. Nama ilmiah Pentadesma butyracea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Joseph Sabine pada tahun 1824.
