Peperomia eekana merupakan tumbuhan epifit dari famili Piperaceae (suku sirih-sirihan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kepulauan Hawaii. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan mt. eke peperomia. Nama ilmiah Peperomia eekana pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Anne Casimir Pyrame de Candolle pada tahun 1913.
