Pericopsis laxiflora merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari kawasan tropis Afrika bagian barat hingga Sudan Selatan. Nama ilmiah Pericopsis laxiflora pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Bentham pada tahun 1962.
