Perotis pilosa merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Kenya. Nama ilmiah Perotis pilosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Thomas Arthur Cope pada tahun 1995.
