Persea alpigena merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Lauraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Jamaika. Nama ilmiah Persea alpigena diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Olof Peter Swartz pada tahun 1825.
