Perymenium discolor merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Meksiko (Veracruz hingga Oaxaca). Nama ilmiah Perymenium discolor diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Heinrich Adolph Schrader pada tahun 1830.
