Phacelia bombycina merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Boraginaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan mangas spring phacelia. Nama ilmiah Phacelia bombycina pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Elmer Otis Wooton pada tahun 1913.
