Phagnalon abyssinicum merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Eritrea hingga Ethiopia. Nama ilmiah Phagnalon abyssinicum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Heinrich "Bipontinus" Schultz pada tahun 1841.
