Phialanthus myrtilloides merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Florida hingga Karibia. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan candlewood. Nama ilmiah Phialanthus myrtilloides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis August Heinrich Rudolf Grisebach pada tahun 1861.
