Phlox aculeata merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Polemoniaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Amerika Serikat barat laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan sagebrush phlox. Nama ilmiah Phlox aculeata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Aven Nelson pada tahun 1911.
