Phlox mexicana merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Polemoniaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Meksiko (Durango). Nama ilmiah Phlox mexicana pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Edgar Theodore Wherry pada tahun 1944.
